All of our annual awards are sent out to administrators and teachers from all 13 Bonita Unified School District Schools nominate students from their respective sites.
Perseverance Awards is an annual event that rewards those who have shown extraordinary levels of perseverance throughout their lifetime. Perseverance Awards go to all school sites and are awarded to those students who have faced challenges and persevered to achieve their potential despite those challenges. We award two medals to in prek-1 levels and then two at every grade level 3-12 at each site. Awards like these are rare, but they do exist for people with the most tenacity and determination in all aspects of their life.
The Act of Kindness awards are given to students that just initiate and perform acts of kindness that benefit others in our two communities and are nominated by school staff or community members who want to recognize these students.
High School Seniors Scholarships are one way to help our seniors on their next chapter of life. Teachers from San Dimas High School, Bonita High School and Chaparral & Vista High Schools nominate students from their respective sites.
2022 will be the first year the La Verne San Dimas Educational Foundation will be awarding Career and Technical Education (CTE) scholarships to our seniors. Similar to other awards, teachers from San Dimas High School, Bonita High School and Chaparral & Vista High Schools nominate students from their respective sites.
The annual awards ceremony held at the end of each academic year is a time for celebration and rewarding the candidates who have been most meritorious. In this way, we honor our best students with medallions to commemorate their excellence – it’s an opportunity that not only rewards but also celebrates them!
